Usui Reiki, or simply Reiki, is one of the powerful meditation methods that can heal the body and mind. It offers different meditation processes, cleansing techniques and tools. These can play a major role in establishing a strong system of self-healing.
More About Usui Reiki Meditation
In Usui Reiki treatment, there are two schools of individuals. The focus of the traditional method primarily remains on meditation. However, some have taken the other way to trying hands-on healing processes. For a beginner, the primary focus should be on meditation only. It is the key element of Usui Reiki that honours the long-established teachings.
Basic Usui Reiki Methods that One Can Follow
A person practising Reiki for the first time may be in a fix with the different types of meditation techniques. To simplify their choice, we discuss in detail about the basic meditations. One can put them as a part of their hands-on healing routine.
Joshin Kokyu Ho: In Reiki, Joshin Kokyu Ho is considered the most basic or foundational meditation practice. The practising person should sit comfortably, lengthening their spine. It is important to set the intentions of the practice. Breathing is the most important element in this process. The person should follow the breath pattern as it travels through the nose and chest to the Hara (area below the belly button). One can practise this meditation daily for 15 minutes.
Seishin Toitsu: It is one of the most vital traditional Usui Reiki healing practices. It helps to unify the mind with intention so that the person can connect with Reiki. Inhaling is an important part of this procedure too. While inhaling, the person should visualise a white light travelling from the hands through the arms down to the Hara. While exhaling, the visualised light should travel back in the reverse direction. One shall practise this method for at least 10 minutes.
Byosen Scan: One should consider this method as a scan of the aura. It is a part of the hands-on healing practice which can eliminate the pent-up physical, mental and emotional toxins that affect the aura of a certain person. The practising person should drive their hand like combing over their aura. It is natural to feel sensations like warmth, coldness, throbbing and tingling while performing the scan. One should repeat this process a number of times to experience better effects.
